James L. Manfre received his Juris Doctorate
from St. John's University School of Law in 1984. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1985. He served as
an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, New York, from 1984 to 1988, where he prosecuted misdemeanors, felonies
and environmental crimes.
From 1988 to 1989, Mr. Manfre served
as Counsel to the Industrial Development Agency of the Town of Babylon, New York, overseeing economic development and industrial
bond issuance. In addition, Mr. Manfre served as Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Babylon, New York, from 1989 to
1996 counseling the Town Board on all legal matters, with specific emphasis on environmental and sold waste issues.
Mr. Manfre also held a private legal practice in New York from 1988 to 1999
where he specialized in corporate law and real estate development.
In
1999, Mr. Manfre relocated to Flagler County, Florida, and was in-house counsel for Von Bulow LLC, serving as a Project
Coordinator involved in residential, commercial and apartment projects.
From January 2000 through December 2004, Mr. Manfre served as the elected Sheriff of Flagler County, managing over
200 employees and a $13 million budget, coordinating with the City of Palm Coast to provide contractual law enforcement services.
In May 2006, Mr. Manfre was admitted to the Florida Bar. He is currently
Of Counsel to the law office of Nowell & Associates, specializing in Real Estate Development and Real Estate Law.
Mr. Manfre is also affiliated with Prudential Real Estate as a Broker
Associate specializing in the area of large residential and commercial developments.
